FINLAND BURNED DOWN TO THE GROWN!

Helsinki will never be the same. Jammer, Gully Rainjah & Matt Shadetek came here on 16th day, and just fucked up a rave period! Neckleeee!!

The night was a huge success, and now the London scene & sound has officially landed here. After TMU and Dead-O had played their anthems and specials, Matt Shadetek took over the stage, and gave the audience a DJ-set like no other. Tunes size of a polar bear! He's a top DJ/producer, no doubt about that... People started to warm up, and there was a vibe in the air... Then it dropped.

What the f*ck really happened? 'Murkle Man' started to play and people just went mental! Like Shadetek put it; "Pure showerdown moshpit bizness." Bare reloads! Murkle Man, the very first tune of the show, got reloaded 4-5 times, before we heard it completely. Pure madhouse. Things got out of control, and the reloads just wouldn't stop... People just got slewed big time.

The next hour was nothing but lighters & gunfingers. Gully and Jammer got people jumping, and it was a bad day for a DJ who tried to mix a good blend. Gully Rainjah hyped people to get their lighters up and sparking, while freestyling... His and Jammer's energy was something out of this world. Neckle Camp man dem blew the whole house!

At the end, The whole Dead Boys crew joined the stage, and united with the Neckle Camp shower MC's. Puppa Spider, Mindman, Treep and Dead Kidd spit some bars with them Neckle Boys and more reloads just kept coming. It was truly a moment of London landing in Helsinki...

Now it's proven that people know! Dead Boys will not stop. "On The Regs" is a clubnight on the regular. Our goal is to bring UK artits from the Grime & Dubstep scene, every time we arrange a rave. This was just the beginning, no long ting.

We want to thank Jammer, Gully Rainjah & Matt Shadetek for bringing us such a good night. Also a 'thank you' to Bassoradio for the beach party-arrangement, and a 'thank you' for those DJ's who gave us their radiotime to promote the night. Also a BIG big up to all the people who came to the show and supported. It wouldn't have been what is was, without Finland man dem realizing what was it all about.

Since the first day of Dead Boys Massive, we have been reloading one of the biggest tunes made in London. Not hard to guess witch one. Grime has grown fast, and the sound has spread worldwide. Finland is one of those places.

After seeing footage of various liveshows, and watching a big pile of DVD's, we decided that artists from the UK need to be brought here. The energy and vibe on those videos was breathtaking and showed the talent of the artists of London. Now that same atmosphere is going to be witnessed on the 16th day @ Liberte, Helsinki. "On The Regs" - shows started from an underground studio @ Helsinki, and has now grown to clubs. It goes down every two months, and the plan is to bring artists from the UK every time! The 16th day is the first 'On The Regs' with London artists, and also the release party of Neckle Camp's "Straight Necklin" CD. A Big Night.

Jammer (UK, Neckle Camp) is one of the most prominent MCs and producers in the grime scene. His single 'The Murkle Man Outburst' has become one of the biggest anthems of the scene this year, supported by it's original and hilarious video, link below.

Matt Shadetek (USA-GER, Team Shadetek, Neckle Camp) , born and raised in downtown New York City has been living in Berlin for two years. Having recently contributed co-production duties on two tracks for Modeselektor's Hello Mum album he is best known for his EP Burnerism on Warp Records with partner Zach as Team Shadetek.

Me and Sire took a plane to London, to drink a few beers and to skank our shoesoles off. Many records were purchased, and few dubplates made... The trip took place on 28.3 - 2.4.06. On the 21st of january, we had anohter massive party! The location was the same "secret" spot that we used for "what do you call it?". This time we also had some guests, all the way from Los Angeles, that Dead-O invited here to do a rap-show, that took place on the next day. TMU (intuition sounds) was also in the place, and brought all the big dubstep-tunes that got every man & woman dancing. BIG UP!! Our homeboy TMU is the greatest! Thanks for being down with us.

We also had an open mic that night. People were screaming & yelling when all the MC's started to spit their bars. Lots of freestyles, and some written songs were heard. J-Riskit (homie) & Dead Kid rapped some bars over "dead kid-anthem" (a soon-to-be-heard-tune!), and Rpk, Pijall & Treep rapped a song also. It was constant slewing! Last, but not least, Dead-O's guests took the mic, and the place exploded! Die young dropped verses, and my man Spinnah went nuts. "L.A. to Helsinki, BRAP BRAP!" The party was a succesful one, and as mentioned, Dead Boys Massive has a new member called Spinnah now. Be on the look for his material, nothing but anthems coming!

Dead Boys Massive - Live @ Alas - Club, 13.01.06

On the friday 13th, Alas started it´s first club at Rosegarden (nightclub in Helsinki) with Dead Boys Massive. It was a BIG Bang! All kind of dancemusic was played there, as the club represents a sense of good music. Rpk and Dead-O took good care of the people who came to party and get strong like bear!!

The place was full of people, and the dancefloor exploded! Over 400 people came to witness the grand opening of the Alas-Club, that now has a place in the music-scene of Helsinki, as it is held once a month. Big up Alas!

Again, Pijall, Puppa Spider & Mindman were on the mic, and just teared the roof off. It was hype hype!! These boys really know how to handle the audience, as they spit bars with flows off the hook. Without them the party wouldn´t have been what it was. After the mic-session Rpk and Dead-O pulled all the aces from their sleeves, and brought the craziest tunes to the dancefloor. It was one of the greatest show ever, and I believe that others think so too. Everybody got slewed that time!

A quick journey to the past.

We had a party on the 10th of december, last year. It was pretty underground, because of the location and place... but it was MASSIVE!! BRAUU!!

Dead-O brought his ghett-o technics in the place and we turned on one of the sickest bass-speakers ever made. The place was small, and probably something like 40-50 people fit in there, but it didn´t matter, because when the basslines started kicking, everyone danced like a maniac.

"Reload! Reload!"

We also had our friend TMU there on the decks, with great records and mixing... (big up intuition sounds!) There was also Puppa Spider, Pijall & Mindman (from SMS - another Finland crew, big up!) on the mic, getting the heat on, toasting with crazy flows!

Brrap!

Hello and welcome.

Dead Boys Massive - blogspot is now open, for anyone who´s interested to check it out. We are a group of dj´s / producers / mc´s, from Helsinki, Finland, (also a member from L.A. - Yo Bumberhead!) and we are feeling the UK Grime-sound with it´s banging bass & energy, that has influenced us to create this crew. This blogspot will be our channel to give info about our shows, parties and radioshows, and also bring our ting to the sunlight.

As mentioned, UK´s Grime-music (or sublow/eski/dubstep/whatUcallIT?) has touched our ears, and we´re trying to spread the word & sound over here in Finland too. We´ve had couple of shows now, (not to mention all kinds of dj-gigs) and they were a very good start for our mission to get the grime-scene bigger in Finland.

There´s also a radioshow called "alas" at www.bassoradio.com where rpk & dead-o brings a special grime-show every first wednesday of the month (16.00-18.00). Listen to it by streaming at the site, or tune your radio to 99,4mhz (Helsinki listeners only). On the regular.
